In this article Toyota is expecting to be able to make self driving cars with the help of Nissan, general motors and google by 2020. So far there self driving car has been successfully driving around Tokyo, Merging lanes, Exiting out of highways, etc.
Hopefully this is a big step forward to preventing crashes on the road and being able to relax in your vehicle. Sit back and play a game, socialize, watch TV, etc. Even do homework like this tech journal while you drive!
I personally cant wait because then it will take all the effort out of driving. no more drivers ed, i can finally relax on the road.
